I have been around older people most of my life, dealing with older family members. My Mom is 84 and she’s the baby of her family. Many older people bought into the idea of Social Security astheir retirement as my Aunt did. Aunt Juliette taught 6th grade for 50 years at a Catholic School in Morgan City but without any retirement benefits when she stopped teaching. Her house was owned but Social Security was her only funds to live on. She had to make a decision, to eat or take her medicine, she couldn’t afford to do both. Without a program like Hope and funds from my family, Aunt Juliette would have gone hungry from the lack of funds to be able to keep up her household. Our family case is not unique, it’s happening every day to many people and their loved ones.

The Giving Hope charity has inspired me to realize there is always time to give back and there are many ways you can give back to others and your community. Troy is a role model executive demonstrating the ability to balance running a large complex for profit organization while at the same time managing an impactful and thriving non-profit organization. I’m honored and blessed to be able to support the food bank, rehab centers, orphanages and every charitable effort organized and delivered by the Giving Hope organization.
