New Orleans Food Pantry

Our Story

The Food Pantry of New Orleans was established in 2013 after Toyota of New Orleans transformed a building on their property into a soup kitchen. It has now grown to provide both groceries and hot meals to senior citizens and families in our community. Ms. Betty, the Chief Operations Officer of the pantry, says “...in a city known for food, it is a shame that so many people are going hungry every day.”

They work 12 to 14 hours a day without stop almost seven days a week. We cut that time out and told them; this is your time for inspiration, motivation, and your time to understand what life is about."
