Our Mission

What We Do

We partnered with the New Orleans Mission in purchasing the Giving Hope Retreat Center. The Giving Hope Retreat Center opened in 2015 and is located on 60 acres of land in Lacombe, LA away from the bustle of the city. With a peaceful setting and amazing facilities, the men are provided a safe haven for all those looking to start anew. The Giving Hope Retreat Center provides both refuge away from the conditions of homelessness as well training to help these citizens rebuild their lives through training for various trade programs, GED classes, and lifestyle courses. We provide support throughout attendees’ recovery periods to fill their lives with hope, purpose, and direction for a new life.

Lynhaven Retreat Center

The percentage of homeless women in New Orleans has increased by 66 percent since 2012. The New Orleans Mission is addressing this statistic to positively impact homelessness in New Orleans. "These women are the most vulnerable of our homeless population,” said David Bottner, executive director for the New Orleans Mission. “Of the homeless women in New Orleans, 92 percent have been abused sexually or physically. The problem is deeper than meets the eye, and it is our duty to help them. Currently, the New Orleans Mission offers 32 beds for women in the city of New Orleans. Lynhaven Retreat Center opens in 2018 as a haven of recovery and reengagement for these precious women.

Giving Hope helps to raise money to make this amazing facility available for women that have faced homelessness and human trafficking. Our desire is to give hope to broken and help provide the means for them to meet God in a real and powerful way.
